6RAJ crafts music for people who believe the dancefloor is a space of collective transformation.Born in Toronto to a migrant family with roots in South Asia, East Africa, and North America, he grew up between languages, cultures, religions, and musical traditions. His music follows those same pathways, weaving electronic technique with transcultural traditions of storytelling, rhythm, and poetry.Shaped by residencies in Montréal, Cape Town, and Berlin, and performances across 15 countries, his DJ sets are emotionally and spiritually charged, oscillating between, darkness and hope, solitude and communion, yin and yang. His collaborations with vocalists in English, Hindi, Arabic, German, French, and beyond, honor every language as a portal to our shared humanity. His records have appeared on respected underground imprints, earning support from veteran artists such as Black Coffee, Richie Hawtin, and &ME, alongside a new generation of selectors across the global underground.In 2024, 6RAJ founded Interdependence, a creative movement, record label, and global event series based at Berlin's iconic Riverside Studios. More than a musical platform, Interdependence is an experiment in belonging: a gathering place for artists whose work dissolves the imagined borders between genres, cultures, artistic disciplines, and egos.
